The Senior Placement Analyst will coordinate marketing efforts with competing insurance companies on an account-by-account basis in a support role for sales and customer service teammates. Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and improving upon quotes received and evaluating and negotiating coverage and price for both renewal and prospective business. This individual may also monitor the work of assistants and other support positions.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the procurement of alternative quotes and carrier options to retain existing insurance programs
Analyze market information to develop, design, and implement creative strategies for sales team members
Review and recognize areas for improvement in existing policies and competing quotes and evaluate options alongside the sales team member and service representative
Negotiate with insurance carriers’ competitive coverage and pricing options on behalf of our client
Provide sales and customer service teammates with any market information or insight
Monitor, identify, and develop new methods, new markets, and opportunities
Review submissions from either the producer or account manager for completeness and accuracy
Review submission to determine appropriate insurance companies for account solicitation
Identify new markets through research and begin the process to contract with insurance companies or brokers if necessary and given approval from management
Utilize and direct assistants in the process of online rating and proposal creation
Effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, top management, and insurance carriers/vendors through persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics
Support the growth and development of team members through informal mentoring to junior team members, presentations to the Marketing team during team meetings, and other avenues
Identify and execute one to two special projects per year, in conjunction with the Marketing Leader, with defined objectives and milestones
Requirements:
Must have and maintain current Property & Casualty Insurance License for required states
Property & Casualty Insurance Designation such as the CISR, CRIS, or AAI
High school diploma
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional communication demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
At least 5 years’ experience working with commercial lines insurance
