Senior PHP Engineer - Term: Initial 12-Month Contract - Location: Sydney CBD. Join our team and play a lead role in driving our platform modernization program. Job Responsibility

  • Drive Strategic Change: Build our new operational platform, balancing short-term deliveries with long-term architectural goals
  • Technical Leadership: Lead design decisions, engage in POCs, write high-performant code, and mentor junior team members
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, designers, and QA engineers to solve problems holistically

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience on PHP development
  • Deep expertise in PHP, microservices, and building performant, decoupled, cloud-based applications
  • Proven experience with AWS (S3, SQS, SNS, Cognito) and cloud-native development
  • Advanced knowledge of database optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning
  • Strong grasp of secure coding (OWASP10), compliance, and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace)
