Aquent Studios is seeking a highly skilled Senior Photo Retoucher to support a premium packaging and branding team focused on creating visually distinctive, proprietary brand assets for global consumer products. This is not basic photo cleanup or production-level Photoshop work. We are looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail, advanced technical retouching expertise, and the creative judgment to transform imagery into polished, ownable brand visuals built for high-end packaging applications. The ideal candidate understands how to combine artistry with precision — someone who can think conceptually, solve visual problems creatively, and execute flawlessly for print production.
Job Responsibility
Create hyper-realistic product imagery through advanced compositing, manipulation, and reconstruction techniques
Transform raw photography and stock assets into proprietary, brand-specific visuals that feel premium and unique
Retouch and rebuild textures, surfaces, reflections, condensation, packaging materials, and lighting effects with meticulous detail
Execute sophisticated color correction and CMYK conversions while maintaining strict brand consistency across packaging formats and substrates
Collaborate closely with creative and production teams to refine imagery through multiple rounds of feedback and iteration
Maintain organized, non-destructive layered files with advanced masking, paths, and adjustment workflows
Ensure final assets are optimized for high-resolution print production across various packaging applications
Requirements
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop with strong working knowledge of Illustrator and Bridge
Deep understanding of high-end retouching workflows for packaging, branding, or consumer product imagery
Strong creative instincts and the ability to problem-solve visually — not just execute directions
Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
Advanced understanding of print production requirements including color management, bleed, trapping, and substrate considerations
Experience creating imagery intended for large-scale commercial print and packaging environments
Ability to work independently in a remote environment across time zones
Nice to have
Experience supporting CPG, beauty, beverage, luxury, or retail packaging brands
Portfolio demonstrating advanced compositing, texture rebuilding, and premium product retouching
Strong understanding of how imagery translates from screen to physical packaging
