Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Senior PET CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake a competency programme in PET-CT to develop knowledge and gain a full understanding of PET-CT
  • IV cannulate patients as part of the role

Requirements:

  • HCPC or equivalent voluntary registration
  • Background in Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals
  • High level of competency in cannulation preferable
  • Patient-focused attitude
  • Flexible, adaptable team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patient care experience/skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills including time management
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • High energy level – able to collaborate across teams to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to motivate self and other members of your team and appropriately delegate
  • Positive approach to change
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Experienced in PET-CT an advantage
  • IV Cannulation Certificate preferred
  • Must be IT literate
  • Enhanced DBS clearance required
  • Flexibility to operate across multiple sites if required
  • CT experienced desirable
  • BSc/DCR in Diagnostic Radiography and/or Diploma in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent is essential
  • Awareness of, and compliance with Alliance Medical Policies and Procedures, Radiation Regulations (IRMER, IRR 99 and EPR 2010) if modality requires this, CQC requirements and Health and Safety legislation
  • Awareness of, and compliance with Data Protection and Patient confidentiality
  • Undertake initial and refresher mandatory training to ensure compliance at all times

  • IV Cannulation Certificate
  • CT experienced
  • Experience and knowledge in area of expertise
