A premier European real estate group with a substantial and expanding portfolio of assets across Greece and Europe is currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Permitting Lead. This is a strategic, high-impact role acting as the autonomous authority on all permitting and licensing matters. The successful candidate will be the primary link between projects and regulatory bodies, ensuring that all development and operational goals are seamlessly achieved.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing the entire lifecycle of permitting and licensing for the Group’s portfolio of assets (operational, pre-development, and development stages)
Serving as the primary technical point of authority and right-hand partner to the Chief Engineer for all regulatory and statutory compliance matters
Identifying permitting and licensing risks, gaps, or bottlenecks and executing corrective strategies independently
Managing requests for proposals (RFPs) and appointing external consultants to resolve complex permitting issues or conduct technical due diligence
Preparing, presenting, and reporting high-level action plans to management to ensure business continuity and asset value preservation
Maintaining precise, up-to-date permitting documentation within the Group’s management systems
Conducting proactive site visits and preparing technical red flag reports for new asset acquisitions
Supporting the design and development teams by providing permitting-focused input and assisting in value engineering to ensure project viability
Coordinating with legal and financial departments on any project-related issues that intersect with permitting requirements
Requirements:
University degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical)
5+ years of proven experience in permitting and licensing management, ideally in the real estate or hospitality sector
Deep understanding of Greek regulatory frameworks and statutory licensing processes
Excellent command of the English language, written and spoken
Fluent knowledge of Office Suite, PDFs, and AutoCAD
