Freelance opportunity for a results-driven, strategic performance specialist responsible for the creation, optimisation and management of high-performance media campaigns across Google Ads, Search and YouTube to drive customer awareness, engagement and conversion. The candidate will work cross-functionally with creative, analytics and product teams, as well as directly with clients, to optimise digital campaigns and deliver measurable growth across key performance channels.
Job Responsibility:
Own and optimise high-performance Search & Google advertising (Google Ads, Paid Search, YouTube), driving measurable growth across awareness, conversion and efficiency KPIs through continuous testing, bidding, and budget optimisation
Lead data-driven performance strategy and optimisation, using deep expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics and attribution to translate insights into actionable improvements and clear performance reporting for clients and stakeholders
Act as a senior performance specialist and client partner, collaborating with creative, analytics and product teams to ensure search-led media strategies align to the full customer journey and deliver sustained commercial impact
Develop and execute performance media strategies across digital channels (e.g., Paid Search, Display, Programmatic, Social Media, Affiliate Marketing) to deliver against business KPIs, including awareness and conversion, cost per acquisition, and customer retention
Develop detailed audience segmentation strategies to drive personalised marketing efforts
Continuously monitor and optimize campaigns for performance, adjusting targeting, bidding strategies, creatives, and budget allocation
Analyse campaign performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads etc.), providing detailed reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership
Present insights and recommendations to clients and key stakeholders
Stay up to date with the latest trends in digital marketing, performance media, and implement best practices
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in performance media, digital marketing, or conversion media management
Proven experience driving measurable results in digital advertising campaigns with a strong track record of optimising against performance metrics
Strong working knowledge of performance marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Programmatic, etc.), tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager, attribution models), and testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO)
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, create reports, and make data-backed decisions
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization tools (e.g. Looker Studio)
Experience collaborating with creative teams to develop high-performing ad creatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights and strategies to stakeholders at all levels
