Job Description

Our performance marketing team manages all paid and directly measurable marketing campaigns, making it one of the driving forces behind our current growth. Data-driven work is a basic requirement in the team, and we are always one step ahead of market trends. As part of the SEM team, you will gain deep insights into SEA automation at one of Europe's top e-commerce players. You can expect to join a highly motivated and very successful team. In this role, you will take on hands-on technical responsibility for our Google Shopping and CSS activities, drive innovation, and increase the efficiency of our paid search channels using data and technology.

Job Responsibility

  • You will take on hands-on technical responsibility for the planning, development, and further development of our Google Shopping and CSS campaigns (setup, structure, scaling, performance)
  • You will manage budgets and KPIs, identify growth drivers, and derive concrete measures to increase performance and efficiency
  • You will be responsible for continuous performance monitoring and the operational implementation of optimizations (testing, iterations, rollouts)
  • You will develop optimization approaches and ensure continuous tracking, ongoing analysis, and meaningful reporting
  • You will drive topics related to Google Merchant Center & feed quality (e.g., data quality, attributes, rules, diagnostics, policies) and work closely with relevant interfaces
  • You will test hypotheses through structured tests, substantiate them with data, and establish learnings as best practices within the team
  • You will be the technical contact person for Shopping/CSS, advise internal stakeholders, and implement market/platform trends

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in performance marketing with a focus on Google Shopping (end-to-end ownership, hands-on implementation)
  • Excellent CSS expertise and a deep understanding of the mechanics and levers in the shopping ecosystem
  • High level of confidence in Google Merchant Center and all feed and data topics (data quality, attributes, rules, diagnostics, policies)
  • Strong analytical skills: clear KPI logic, structured testing, prioritization, and implementation
  • High technical affinity and experience with analysis, tracking, and ideally feed management tools
  • Ownership mentality: You take responsibility and drive issues forward independently, pragmatically, and with a strong focus on implementation
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
