Join our Edmonton client for a high impact six month engagement, focused on the modernization of their core PeopleSoft environments. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to lead a large scale optimization project centered on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Human Capital Management systems. You will play a vital role in reducing technical debt and aligning business processes with industry standards to ensure long term system sustainability. With the possibility of an extension, this contract allows you to apply your functional expertise to a complex institutional transformation.
Job Responsibility:
Assess current Campus Solutions and HCM environments to identify opportunities for replacing custom code with delivered functionality
Lead de-customization strategies by performing detailed impact analysis and transition planning for core system modules
Partner with business teams to analyze and redesign processes to align with PeopleSoft standards and automation opportunities
Support data clean up initiatives by identifying redundant or inconsistent data and advising on sustainable governance practices
Document functional requirements and create detailed specifications, wireframes, and flowcharts for system improvements
Collaborate with technical teams to implement configuration changes and ensure solutions support future upgrade paths
Contribute to the overall testing strategy including system integration and user acceptance testing to validate final products
Requirements:
Ten or more years of experience working with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Human Capital Management modules
Proven track record of leading de-customization and system rationalization initiatives within large ERP environments
Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture including PeopleTools, data structures, and the trade-offs between configuration and customization
Extensive experience in business process redesign and standardization specifically within the public sector or post-secondary institutions
Strong background in data quality initiatives and the application of data governance frameworks to complex systems
