Job Description:

Checkr is seeking a Senior People Operations and Systems Generalist to manage people data, employee services, compliance activities, and process improvements within the People Ops team. The role involves working with HR tools, data integrity, compliance coordination, and enhancing processes in Workday. This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO with opportunities for advancement in a mission-driven company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Uses a deep understanding of Workday to serve as the subject matter expert on development and maintenance of business processes and system enhancements
  • Responsible for accurately entering employee data into Workday and managing large sets of data for EIB processing
  • Partner with stakeholders to roll out enhancements and system configuration requests
  • Provides high quality employee and manager support through JIRA help desk
  • Commitment to confidentiality and protection of employee data
  • Assist in process development or improvement in Workday with a focus on self-service and scaling
  • Prepare, review, interpret and analyze data and make recommendations
  • Maintain clear process documentation for internal and cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate compliance requirements
  • Develop and deliver training related to new system enhancements
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the People function
  • Perform additional People Operations duties and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Workday HCM, JIRA Help Desk, Greenhouse, CultureAmp
  • 5+ years of experience working in People Ops teams at fast-paced, scaling organizations
  • High degree of customer-obsession, with a track record for delivering results, team collaboration and business acumen
  • Experience with broad HR practices and program development
  • Strong HR operational foundation across technology, process design, and employee experience
  • Ability to work hands-on and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment
  • Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and good judgment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Proven time management and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite required, especially Google Sheets with v-lookups, pivot tables
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, comfortable adapting to change.
