Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior People Manager to join our high-energy, high-impact People team. This is a senior role within the People function, with responsibility for managing day-to-day people operations across the full employee lifecycle and ensuring effective, compliant, and scalable people practices within a global organisation. The company operates internationally, hiring employees directly in the UK and the US, and supporting teams across other countries worldwide through Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements. As a senior member of the People team, you will work closely with managers across the business, providing practical guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conduct matters. You will help ensure consistency, manage people risk, and support a strong culture through clear processes, robust compliance, and pragmatic decision-making. In this role, you will take ownership of complex employee matters, oversee day-to-day HR operations, and provide coaching and oversight to more junior People team members to maintain high standards across the function. You will also support the HR Director in delivering company-wide people initiatives and ensure that operational practices run smoothly across the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage day-to-day people operations across the full employee lifecycle
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for complex employee relations matters
  • Provide practical, timely advice and hands-on support to managers on people issues
  • Apply strong working knowledge of employment law in day-to-day decision-making
  • Own the implementation and ongoing management of people policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistent and compliant handling of employee changes
  • Oversee employee benefits administration and payroll-related changes
  • Manage employee immigration and sponsorship processes
  • Oversee and support core HR administration and people data management
  • Identify recurring people issues and operational gaps, and implement practical improvements

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior People Manager or similar senior role in a People/HR function
  • Experience managing day-to-day people operations across the full employee lifecycle
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters (conduct, performance, disciplinary processes, grievances, dismissals, settlement discussions)
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and its application in day-to-day decision-making
  • Experience implementing and managing people policies and procedures
  • Experience overseeing employee benefits administration and payroll-related changes
  • Experience managing employee immigration and sponsorship processes
  • Experience with HR administration and people data management
  • Ability to identify operational gaps and implement process improvements
  • Ability to partner with senior leadership to deliver people initiatives
  • Ability to support a positive and professional working environment
