As a Senior People Insights Analyst at Coursera, you will play a pivotal role within our People Technology & Analytics team, empowering data-driven decisions that significantly enhance employee experience and business outcomes. You will be instrumental in delivering actionable insights across the entire employee lifecycle, guiding leaders in making informed choices regarding engagement, retention, hiring, and strategic workforce planning. This highly hands-on role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across the People, Data, and broader business teams. You will be responsible for analyzing complex workforce data, developing scalable analytics solutions, and translating intricate insights into clear, impactful recommendations, with increasing ownership over critical analyses and reporting functions.
Job Responsibility:
Drive in-depth analysis of workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across engagement, retention, recruiting, performance, and workforce planning
Build and maintain robust dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Sigma or Tableau
Develop and optimize SQL queries to efficiently extract, transform, and analyze People data from various sources
Collaborate closely with People Technology and Data teams to support the development of scalable, governed data models and pipelines, including platforms like Databricks
Translate complex business questions into structured analytical approaches and deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to diverse audiences
Own the development of executive-ready materials that effectively communicate insights, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Analytics, or a related analytical role
Experience with SQL and cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
Experience building dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Sigma or Tableau
Experience working with HR systems, including Workday
Experience with core People data domains (e.g., recruiting, retention, engagement, performance)
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, I/O Psychology)
Exposure to statistical or predictive analytics concepts
Familiarity with data modeling, data governance, or data pipelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude
Effective communication and data storytelling abilities for diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
