We’re looking for a confident and compassionate Senior People Advisor to join our growing People team and help support our teams across the South West and South East, working closely with two Regional Operations Managers. This is a great opportunity for an experienced ER professional who enjoys building relationships, offering trusted advice, and making a real difference on the ground.
Job Responsibility:
Managing and triaging the People Inbox, providing timely and practical guidance
Leading on ER cases, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and incidents
Advising managers on day-to-day people and performance matters
Supporting employee wellbeing through regular welfare check-ins
Managing long-term absence cases, including sickness reviews and dismissal processes
Coordinating occupational health referrals and medical capability assessments
Hosting and supporting HR Café sessions
Supporting Nursery Managers and Regional Operations Managers with people matters
Visiting nurseries around once a month and building strong local relationships
Attending and contributing to monthly regional nursery manager meetings
Requirements:
Strong experience in employee relations and absence management
Excellent knowledge of employment law and ER best practice
Proven experience managing complex ER casework end-to-end
The confidence to advise and influence senior stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, with a pragmatic and people-focused approach
The ability to balance priorities across a large, multi-site region
