Job Description

The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing payroll for their assigned employees. The position will work closely with the Finance, Human Resources, HRIS, Legal and Benefits teams, as well as with our 3rd party partners delivering an exceptional payroll process that is completed accurately and timely. The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for meeting all deadlines, performing payroll calculations, manual entry adjustments, auditing results, and reconciling the payroll back to all inputs. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and understands the importance of providing exceptional customer service, providing timely and accurate responses to all employees.

Job Responsibility

  • Complete all pay cycles accurately and timely
  • Provide a high level of service and support to all employees
  • Assist employees with questions about their wages, taxes and/or deductions listed on their pay statements
  • Prepare employee records for payroll processing in payroll systems utilized (ADP Workforce Now, Expensify and Net Suite)
  • Verify all new hires, deduction changes, compensation changes, and Personal Time Off requests included on pay cycle
  • Reconcile and verify accuracy of payroll data
  • Process requests for manual payroll checks verifying all wages and deductions required, including processing stop payments on lost paychecks and reissuing checks
  • Process/support all Court Orders to include and not limited to garnishment, and tax levies in ADP
  • Include verification of accurate calculations and any necessary communication to the employee
  • Audit reports during payroll processing for benefits, including prepayments, refunds and any additional deductions for arrears
  • Support the HR team with leave of absence adjustments related to deductions and time off accruals
  • Research and provide information about unclaimed wage payments
  • Support Quarter and Year End tax reporting processes as required by law
  • Complete employment verifications from various agencies
  • Assist with any audit requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Preferred knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, Expensify, Net Suite
  • Minimum of one year of payroll processing experience
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll
  • Global Payroll knowledge a plus
