As Senior Payroll Specialist, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring our people get paid accurately and on time, every time. You'll own end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, working closely with our People team and external payroll providers to keep everything running smoothly. This isn't just about processing numbers. You'll be solving complex payroll challenges, improving processes and making sure we stay compliant as we scale across Europe. You'll have real ownership over your work, the freedom to suggest better ways of doing things and the chance to shape how payroll works at one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs.
Job Responsibility:
Own and deliver accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple European countries, managing the full cycle from input to payment
Build and maintain strong relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring service quality and resolving issues quickly
Drive process improvements that make payroll faster, simpler and more scalable as we grow
Ensure full compliance with local payroll regulations and tax requirements across all markets
Create clear documentation and reporting that gives leadership visibility into payroll operations
Support audits and year-end processes, making sure everything is audit-ready and compliant
Requirements:
7-10 years of hands-on experience in global or multi-country payroll operations
Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
Solid understanding of payroll fundamentals and how different country-specific payrolls work (experience with French, German or Italian payroll is preferred)
Ability to work independently, take ownership of your tasks and manage multiple priorities without losing focus
Fluent in English
