Job Description

Provide operational support to outsourced third-party payroll processor to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees. Act as relationship manager to their cross-functional teams including Payroll Services, Customer Service, Tax Filing, Garnishment, and Overpayment Shared Services. Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment while meeting all deadlines with weekly payrolls processing for 20,000 exempt, non-exempt and contingent labor workers.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyzes, audits, validates, and prepares control totals from the timekeeping solution for payroll processing in accordance with the payroll schedule. Run standard reports to identify exception time situations
  • Prepare and upload necessary pay components to support weekly, biweekly and/or monthly processing
  • Escalates complex timekeeping & attendance issues and follows through to resolution, ensuring appropriate communication to all involved parties
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the shared Payroll inbox and partner ticketing management system
  • Generates and distributes standard and ad hoc payroll reports as needed for internal finance and operational departments to track labor costs
  • Develops close working relationships with internal partners such as the Finance & Accounting teams, Benefits, IT, etc. to quickly resolve issues and handle special requests
  • Assist in audits related to payroll and timekeeping processing and provide necessary documentation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience demonstrates a strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experienced WorkDay Time Tracking, Absence & Payroll required
  • Demonstrate strong customer services skills
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Displays a customer focused work ethic with the ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and the capacity to complete tasks on time
  • Assist in audits related to payroll and timekeeping processing and provide necessary documentation
