Randstad is proud to be partnering with our client, a leading ASX-Listed business based in Brisbane’s CBD. They are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation
  • Ensure the accuracy of time and attendance records, allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, tax requirements, and superannuation obligations
  • Prepare and assist with statutory reporting, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) and payroll tax
  • Assist with the maintenance and optimisation of payroll systems
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll issues and provide guidance to the wider team
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance service delivery
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responses

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Previous experience with a large payroll system
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
