Senior Payroll Officer

• Prepare and process end-to-end payroll on a weekly and fortnightly basis for over 1,200 employees across multiple entities/states
• First point of contact for any payroll queries and resolves any issues in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with awards, fair work, ATO, etc.
• Interpret remuneration packages including allowances, bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice and fringe benefits
• Review payroll journals and reconciliations as well as prepare and lodge payroll tax, super and workcover reports
• Maintain and update employee records on the iChris & Employment Hero payroll systems

• Prior experience working in a senior payroll capacity will be beneficial e.g. 5+ years of end to end payroll processing
• Ability to interpret awards and must stay abreast of any changes
• Experience working with complex payroll environments (e.g., multiple awards, shiftwork, penalties, overtime)
• Experience with iChris/Chirs21 and/or Employment Hero would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Kronos would be a bonus
