Are you a seasoned payroll professional looking for a long-term contract where you can truly own your space? Our client is seeking two proactive Senior Payroll Officers to join a dynamic team in Melbourne on an 18-month Fixed-Term Contract. Whether you are an ADP specialist or an expert individual contributor who thrives on month-end excellence, these roles offer the stability of a long-term project with the variety of a high-performing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing and administering all payroll aspects related to complex employee transitions and life-cycle changes
  • Executing full end-to-end payroll processing across a diverse workforce, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance
  • Applying expert knowledge to accurately calculate complex final entitlements and settlement figures, ensuring strict associated regulatory and tax compliance
  • Leading comprehensive month-end reporting, general ledger reconciliations, and third-party payment distributions
  • Assisting with system-related queries and troubleshooting within Workday, UKG, and PeopleSoft environments
  • Ensuring all processing meets the latest STP Phase 2 and Superannuation Guarantee legislative requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or SME within a large-scale corporate environment
  • Mandatory technical proficiency in Workday, UKG, or PeopleSoft
  • For the specialist stream: Extensive, hands-on experience with ADP platforms is essential
  • Expertise in Award interpretation and a thorough understanding of the current regulatory landscape, including wage theft compliance
  • High-level Excel skills and the ability to manage complex manual calculations when required
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work 4 days in the office (Melbourne-based)

Nice to have:

Accounting / Finance Qualification to be highly regarded
