The Senior Payroll Analyst will have primary day-to-day responsibility for end-to-end processing of payroll for 6,500+ employees in North America. The role is responsible for payroll processing operations, including monitoring workflows and processing deadlines. The Senior Payroll Analyst has ownership of specialized payroll elements such as equity processing, garnishments, etc.The incumbent periodically and as directed conducts in-depth analyses and supports projects related to payroll, such as cost reduction initiatives or process improvements. The incumbent plays a crucial role in improving payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to continuous process improvements within the payroll function.The successful Payroll Analyst is collaborative, hands-on, results-oriented, innovative, and operates with the utmost integrity, embracing RB Global's "One Team All-In" mentality.
Job Responsibility:
Process end to end biweekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees, ensuring compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal regulations
Analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
update/correct pay data as identified through analysis/audit
Ownership of internal/external organizational audits related to payroll
Follow any new updated guidance on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
Developing and recommending efficiencies and standard operating procedures related to payroll processes
Independently manage Oracle timecards process including auditing and reporting of timekeeping records, monitoring timely approvals by managers and completing mass submit for payroll processing
Process supplemental payrolls for stock, bonuses or ad hoc payments
Resolve all payroll discrepancies, process adjustments, manual checks and answer escalated employee and management inquiries, as needed
Support process improvements, automation, and recommendations leading to best practices
Prepare timecard reconciliations to validate timekeeping files balances to payroll processing
Support payroll leads to proactively audit payroll changes (new hires, terms, salary changes etc.)
Provide data-driven payroll insights to influence decision-making within Payroll Team, and with business stakeholders
Mentor/train incoming internal or external Payroll Analyst team members
Perform year-end responsibilities as it relates to T4’s/RL1’s, T2200 Forms and any YE amendments
Work on assignments and projects in partnership with Payroll Leads that are moderately complex, in resolving issues or in making recommendations
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in US/Canada full-cycle timekeeping and payroll processing
Advanced proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Oracle Cloud HCM) and advanced Excel and mathematical skills
Superior excel and analytical skills to identify errors and trends in payroll data
Advanced understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and management regarding escalated payroll issues
Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work in a hybrid environment 3 days a week in our Westchester, IL office.
