Job Description:

Our client is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Senior Payroll Advisor to join their vibrant team in Newcastle. The role includes processing payrolls, setting up pension schemes, supporting clients’ payroll needs, conducting reconciliations, and mentoring junior team members. Hybrid working is available post-probation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls for a variety of organisations, each with its own unique complexities
  • Set up pension schemes with multiple providers, ensuring accurate calculations and timely distribution of necessary data
  • Build and nurture professional relationships with clients by understanding their specific payroll needs
  • Conduct reconciliations and manual calculations, addressing client queries with confidence
  • Support and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and training as needed

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior payroll processing role is essential
  • You must be highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on diverse payrolls, with solid end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Capability to transfer data between payroll systems and Excel
  • Familiarity with the BACS payment process
