The Senior Partnership Accountant is a key member of the Partnership Accounting team. The role will have responsibility for performing accounting procedures and tasks that are unique to Partners. This position has internal contact with Partners of the Firm. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing experience at a leading law firm.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting the Partnership Accounting team with all partner accounting processes globally
Support partners’ services including calculating and processing partner payments and preparation of individual partner statements
Calculate, monitor and maintain partner capital, including the annual capital call, arranging loan finance drawdown and capital repayments
Assisting with budgets and cash flows for partner remuneration and firm cash flow
Preparation of partner journals and reconciling individual partner accounts to the cash and accrual balances within Elite 3E
Induction and outgoing meetings with partners to go over their financials
Working closely with the Partner Accounting Senior Manager to ensure a consistent approach between US and non-US partners and assisting with identification and implementation of process improvements
Providing assistance to the Global Partnership Tax and Payroll Director and Partner Accounting Senior Manager
Assisting with audit and accounting queries in relation to partners
Ability to cover tasks for other team members when they are out of the office and to assist team members during busy periods

Part or fully qualified accountant desirable but not essential
Minimum of five years relevant experience working within a professional services or accountancy practice in a similar role, ideally a partnership accounting role within a law firm
Advanced spreadsheet knowledge using Microsoft Excel skills are required
