Senior Paralegal - Property Litigation

• Acting for private landlords and insurer clients in possession proceedings under assured shorthold tenancies (ASTs), assured tenancies, Rent Act tenancies, and common law tenancies
• Advising clients on the correct legal procedures for recovering possession and ensuring compliance with pre-action protocols
• Drafting and issuing court proceedings and managing cases through to eviction
• Handling a high-volume caseload, prioritising urgent matters, and delivering effective solutions in tight timescales
• Liaising with clients, court staff, and third parties in a professional and timely manner
• Opportunity to assist with defended claims, including disrepair and unlawful eviction counterclaims, depending on experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling residential possession claims, ideally representing landlords
• In-depth knowledge of the legal and procedural framework around recovering possession of residential property
• Experience with defended actions, disrepair claims, or housing litigation is beneficial but not essential
• Law Degree, LPC or working towards CILEX qualification is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft high-quality correspondence and legal documents
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A client-focused mindset, delivering excellent service with professionalism and empathy
• A collaborative attitude, willing to support colleagues and adapt to evolving team needs
