Reporting to the Paid Media Director, you will create impact within our Paid Media team and Global Paid Media capability. At Jellyfish, the Paid Media department consists of team members with expertise in implementing all forms of Paid Media you will join our growing team in Tokyo. This role is ideal for a hands-on, performance-driven digital marketer who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving client success through Paid Media excellence. You will lead a small portfolio of 2–5 local and international clients across multiple Paid Media channels, including Paid Search, Programmatic, Paid Social, Retail Media, and Direct Investment. You’ll also manage and develop a small team of Managers and Executives across Japan and offshore markets in Asia, ensuring quality execution, best-in-class campaign delivery, and continuous improvement. This role combines operational leadership, strategic thinking, and direct client engagement. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure Jellyfish delivers market-leading results for every campaign.
Job Responsibility:
Manage, coach, and develop a small team of Paid Media Managers and Executives (local and offshore)
Foster collaboration and maintain clear communication between markets and disciplines
Provide mentorship, feedback, and training to strengthen platform expertise and operational excellence
Ensure consistent adherence to Jellyfish standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation
Lead strategic planning and implementation across clients’ Paid Media channels, primarily Paid Search and Programmatic
Build and oversee full-funnel digital campaigns aligned to client KPIs and business goals
Ensure rigorous QA processes, performance monitoring, and data-driven optimisation
Contribute to cross-channel media strategy and identify opportunities to enhance performance through integrated planning
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to clients, supporting client management leads
Present campaign results, insights, and recommendations with clarity and confidence
Collaborate with technology and platform partners including Google, Meta, YAHOO!Japan, TikTok, LINE, and others
Partner with analytics, creative, and strategy teams to develop comprehensive and innovative Paid Media solutions
Stay on top of platform trends, product updates, and emerging opportunities in digital media
Share insights and recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness and team capability
Contribute to internal process improvement and best-practice documentation
Requirements:
5–8+ years of experience in Paid Media Advertising, ideally within an agency environment
Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English is required
