Our client, a fast-growing and innovative premium beverages company operating within the FMCG and craft drinks sector, is seeking a hands-on and detail-focused Senior Packaging Operator to support production operations across bottling and canning lines. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or packaging professional to join a pioneering business at an exciting stage of expansion, working within a high-quality, purpose-built fermentation and packaging facility.
Job Responsibility:
Operate and support the bottling and canning lines in line with company SOPs and quality standards
Alternate between shift support and shift supervisory duties on packaging lines as required
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
Monitor packaging processes to identify risks and ensure product quality is consistently maintained
Assist in maintaining and improving packaging line efficiency and output performance
Support analysis of production performance and contribute ideas for operational improvements
Work closely with the Packaging Lead, Fermentation Lead, and Head of Production on process enhancements and SOP updates
Support training and development of team members across packaging operations
Assist with warehouse, fermentation, and wider production tasks where required
Ensure accurate handling, storage, and movement of finished goods
Contribute to troubleshooting and basic mechanical problem-solving on packaging equipment
Maintain high levels of flexibility to support changing production demands
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across production and packaging workflows
Requirements:
Previous experience in a packaging, production, or manufacturing role within FMCG, food, or drinks
Experience with bottling or canning operations is highly desirable
Mechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency
Reliable, proactive, and willing to take initiative
Strong team player with good communication skills
Flexible and adaptable with a positive, 'can-do' attitude
Willingness to learn and develop within a growing business
Nice to have:
Experience with bottling or canning operations
Forklift licence
