Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Professional engineer (PE) license
At least 8 years of experience in protection and control (P&C) engineering design, particularly in substation projects
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices in protection and control (P&C) engineering

Job Responsibility

Collaborate with a project team to develop design documents and drawings for substation protection and control (P&C) systems including one-line diagrams, single line relay & metering diagrams, AC & DC schematic diagrams, bills of materials, and applying field mark-ups of project as-built drawings
Apply extensive knowledge of protection relaying schemes, including bus, transmission line, and transformer protection, to design solutions for complex substation projects
Design and implement protection schemes and controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
Perform detailed analysis of system configurations and relay settings
Perform quality assurance (QA) design reviews for all protection and control (P&C) documents
Support the commissioning and testing phases of protection and control systems to ensure proper functionality and performance
Communicate and coordinate project activities with project engineers, designers, and customer representatives

Prepare engineering and construction documents: BOMs, yard layouts, section views, grounding, rigid and strain bus, raceways, and electrical details
