Job Description

As an Oracle Finance Business Analyst, you will provide functional and analytical expertise for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Fusion Financials applications. You will play a key role in production support, system enhancements, and change management—ensuring business continuity and optimization of financial processes. This position acts as a critical bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring that Oracle systems align with ResMed’s evolving business and compliance requirements through high-quality analysis, process improvement, and system design.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide day-to-day functional and technical support for Oracle EBS (R12) and Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Projects, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues within defined SLAs, coordinating with Oracle Support where needed
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring issues
  • Manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Evaluate, document, and implement approved system changes and enhancements following change control procedures
  • Gather business requirements, perform impact analysis, and ensure proper testing and deployment
  • Lead or support UAT, regression testing, and production rollouts
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, process updates, and change history
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to identify process inefficiencies and recommend Oracle-driven improvements
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and collaborate with developers for solution delivery
  • Drive process reviews and promote best practices leveraging Oracle Financials capabilities
  • Support periodic patching, upgrades, and migration activities for Oracle EBS and Fusion environments
  • Conduct regression and validation testing during upgrades
  • Ensure adherence to SOX controls and internal audit requirements
  • Serve as the liaison between Finance users, IT teams, and third-party vendors
  • Deliver user training and prepare process or troubleshooting documentation
  • Communicate proactively on system updates, incidents, and planned changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of experience as an Oracle Finance Functional or Business Analyst
  • Oracle Certified Professional (EBS or Fusion Financials) preferred
  • ITIL Foundation Certification desirable
  • Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS (R12) and Fusion Financials
  • Proficient in modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, iExpense, Projects, and Procurement
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience in Oracle production support environments—incident resolution, SR management, and workflow debugging
  • Knowledge of integration points with HR, Procurement, and Projects modules
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis for issue investigation
  • Familiarity with ITIL or structured change management frameworks
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
