Job Description:

Senior Oracle Database Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for managing and optimizing Oracle databases. This role requires strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, architecture, replication, high availability concepts, programming, and automation to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of Oracle database systems.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop and maintain automated solutions for Oracle database technologies
Design, develop and maintain automated solutions for Oracle database deployments, configuration, backup and recovery, monitoring and performance tuning
Collaborate with software development teams to integrate Oracle database automation process into the software development cycle
Implement and maintain Oracle database automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to streamline database operations
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Oracle database environment
Perform troubleshooting and resolving Oracle database-related issues
Ensure high availability and optimal performance of production Oracle databases
Conduct regular performance analysis and capacity planning
Document Oracle database automation process, procedures and configuration

Requirements:

7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle database administration including RAC and Data Guard
5+ years of proficiency in troubleshooting incidents, database performance tuning, Disaster Recovery, database upgrades and migrations, capacity management
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

Nice to have:

Experience with 24x7 on-call support rotation
Experience in scripting languages for automation tasks
Experience with Cloud, e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS
Experience with Oracle Golden Gate and Open-Source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
