Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Procurement Agent to join our Government Satellite Supply Chain Team in El Segundo, California. This position will provide oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance; and will lead supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions
  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues
  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies
  • Develops procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements
  • Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives
  • Consults on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies
  • Formalizes procurement requirements with customers and leads the supplier negotiation process
  • Prepares and executes negotiated documents
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Manages contract terminations
  • Develops organization and company improvement plans

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
  • More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
  • More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
  • More than 5 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes
  • More than 5 years of experience in Contracts & Pricing and/or Supplier Management Procurement
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lead Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typical Education/Experience Senior Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience
  • Typical Education/Experience Lead Level 5: Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience
