This role focuses on improving monitoring effectiveness by identifying optimization opportunities across multiple event sources and enhancing alert quality. The candidate is expected to have a broad understanding of how different monitoring sources operate within production environments and contribute to improving signal quality through data-driven insights.
Job Responsibility
Analyze alerts across diverse monitoring sources and identify optimization opportunities
Contribute to reduction of alert noise through tuning and improvement initiatives
Work across monitoring domains (infrastructure, application, batch, network, and mainframe) to improve alert effectiveness
Develop a functional understanding of how different monitoring sources generate and trigger events
Identify recurring patterns and support data-driven improvements across event streams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance monitoring coverage and quality
Support adoption of intelligent/AI-driven approaches for improving alert efficiency and reducing manual effort
Requirements
8–12 years in monitoring, event management, or production support environments
Exposure to multi-domain monitoring environments (e.g., infrastructure, application, batch, network, or mainframe)
Functional understanding of how monitoring systems generate alerts (no deep technical expertise required)
Demonstrated contribution toward alert reduction or monitoring improvement initiatives
Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns in event data

Exposure to scripting or AI-assisted optimization approaches
