Job Description:

A global enterprise is launching a large-scale transformation programme focused on optimising complex asset operations and large-scale workflows. We are seeking senior-level optimisation specialists to work end-to-end on intricate operational challenges, shaping high-impact technical and mathematical solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and Implement Solutions: Create optimisation models for high-value asset maintenance and large-scale operational planning
  • Model Complex Problems: Address scheduling, routing, and resource allocation challenges under rigorous real-world constraints
  • Strategic Translation: Turn ambiguous business requirements into structured, actionable mathematical models
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, and senior operations leadership
  • Drive Decisions: Balance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational feasibility to influence key business outcomes
  • Scale Impact: Support the initial rollout of solutions with the potential to extend frameworks across a wider global group of companies

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Operations Research, Optimisation, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Proven experience delivering optimisation solutions in high-stakes commercial environments (e.g., global logistics, supply chain, or complex marketplaces)
  • Deep expertise in techniques such as linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and combinatorial optimisation
  • Direct experience solving problems related to multi-variable scheduling, routing, or workflow planning
  • Ability to own problems end-to-end and influence stakeholders at a senior level
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving toward practical, implementable solutions rather than just theoretical models

Nice to have:

  • Experience in heavy-industry maintenance planning or large-scale logistical/vehicle/fleet/warehouse operations
  • Background in real-time decision systems or large-scale logistics networks
