Performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the operation of bindery machines, continuously meeting/exceeding productivity and quality standards, and completing within budget and on time. At a Sr. level, the operator will act as a resource to Operators and assist leads in trouble shooting. May assist in training others and operate multiple machines. The Sr Operator, Bindery may operate multiple machines in the following areas: Folding, Stitching, Collating, Cutting. Shift Hours: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM.
Job Responsibility:
Set-up and adjust machines
load machine, observe operation and match samples to job order specifications
review job ticket for specifications or special instructions that may impact the operation or set-up of the machine
continuously review the quality of the product during operation to meet specified job requirements
performs preventative maintenance to equipment
completes production records
track job costs/production hours as applicable
train Operators as needed
works overtime as needed
other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager approval to hire full-time
ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions
basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement
basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation
frequent walking and standing
ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors
manual dexterity for repetitive work
frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
