We are currently seeking a Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN). Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer / Lead Systems Programming Analyst This role is responsible for designing, administering, automating, and supporting enterprise OpenShift platform environments. The position requires deep expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes, strong Linux platform engineering skills, and hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, networking, observability, and operational support. The ideal candidate will lead platform stability and modernization efforts, improve deployment consistency through Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices, and provide ongoing production support in a support rotation model.
Job Responsibility
Administer and support enterprise OpenShift platform environments, including cluster installation, upgrades, patching, and ongoing lifecycle management
Manage and optimize Kubernetes and OpenShift platform components to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
Support operator lifecycle management and enterprise cluster governance using tools such as Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM)
Perform Linux and RHEL system administration tasks that support platform infrastructure and service availability
Partner with infrastructure teams to manage load balancers, DNS, certificates, and other foundational platform dependencies
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions and automation workflows using Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, scripting, and related tools
Implement and support GitOps practices using technologies such as Argo CD and OpenShift GitOps to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency
Contribute to CI/CD and platform automation efforts using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and HashiCorp-based workflows where applicable
Support OpenShift networking, including ingress, routes, load balancing, firewall rules, network policies, and service mesh related concepts
Troubleshoot east-west and north-south traffic issues across cluster and application networking layers
Manage platform security components including TLS, certificates, and PKI integration
Monitor and improve platform health using observability tools such as Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Log Insight, and Dynatrace
Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, root cause analysis, and proactive problem management for platform services
Participate in support rotation and provide operational support for production platform issues, incidents, and escalations
Document standards, procedures, and operational runbooks to support consistent platform administration and team knowledge sharing
Requirements
Strong experience with OpenShift platform administration and Kubernetes operations
Hands-on experience with cluster installation, upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance
Knowledge of operator lifecycle management and multi-cluster management concepts, including RHACM
Strong Linux / RHEL system administration background
Experience with load balancers, DNS, and core infrastructure dependencies
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and configuration management
Hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, Bash, YAML, Git, and Jenkins
Experience with GitOps tools and practices, including Argo CD and OpenShift GitOps
Strong understanding of OpenShift networking, software-defined networking, ingress, routes, and load balancing
Knowledge of firewall management, network policy controls, service mesh technologies, and traffic troubleshooting
Experience managing TLS, certificates, and PKI-related platform requirements
Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Log Insight, and Dynatrace
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and platform support skills
5+ years of relevant experience in OpenShift, Kubernetes, platform engineering, systems programming, or related infrastructure roles
Experience performing as a senior or lead-level systems programming analyst or comparable technical engineering role
Demonstrated ability to support enterprise-scale platform environments in a production setting
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document processes and collaborate across technical teams
Ability to participate in an operational support rotation
