Job Description

Finance in Motion is a leading impact asset manager, structuring, managing, and advising on nearly €4 billion in assets across 10 funds—all classified as SFDR Article 9. Founded in Germany, we bring over two decades of experience investing in emerging markets. With deep local expertise from Latin America to Eastern Europe, we focus on advancing green and social impact. Our investments, through private and public debt, as well as private equity are firmly aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Finance department is interacting closely with top management, Human Resources, the Legal department, the Fund Planning department, heads of individual profit centers. Besides accounting, payments, budgeting and planning, we are responsible for regulatory reporting requirements and the legal/tax set-up of local offices. For our subsidiary in Luxembourg, a regulated AIFM, we are seeking an experienced and independent Senior Officer Finance.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsibility for the quarterly and annual financial statements of the Luxembourg entity
  • Ensure ongoing accounting and payment transactions
  • Operational involvement in day-to-day business and quarter-end closing activities
  • Monitoring of cash planning, preparation liquidity reporting
  • Contributing to tax compliance and ensure controls and documentation
  • Process optimization and project support (project experience preferred)
  • Acting as primary point of contact for external tax advisors and auditors
  • Close collaboration with the Group Finance Team, particularly the Accounting Team, to align financial process and reporting
  • Preparation of regulatory submissions of financial pack and coordinate the CSSF reporting pack
  • Supporting Group Finance in achieving its goals and, where needed, contributing to selected projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • Proficient knowledge with several years of successful experiences in accounting (Lux GAAP), financial reporting, preferably in the financial sector or audit company (Big4 experience is preferred)
  • Knowledge on Luxembourg taxation (VAT, Income Tax)
  • Experience in asset management, AIFs (private equity/real estate/private credit), or regulated environments (CSSF)
  • Hands-on approach as a generalist in a department with a wide range of responsibilities
  • Independent, responsible and solution-oriented way of working as well as strong communication and implementation skill
  • A positive, proactive and curious mind-set
  • Team player with an international mindset and intercultural skills
  • Fluent in English
