Job Description:

Are you a technical specialist looking to drive digital transformation within a large-scale enterprise? We are seeking a Senior Office 365 Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for the design, configuration, and integration of Microsoft 365 services. This 9-month assignment offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership across critical projects, including M365 Copilot, SMTP modernisation, and advanced cyber-purview initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in sustaining high-quality operational services and enhancing collaboration across a complex environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage Tier 2 and 3 Office 365 support calls, liaising with vendors and service centres to efficiently remediate degraded services
  • Administer and maintain the Office 365 environment, including patching, hygiene, and software versioning, while managing risks, security, and compliance
  • Lead the adoption and "evergreening" of Microsoft products, working with architects to champion cost-effective productivity and collaboration solutions
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks by developing PowerShell scripts and adopting new tools and testing techniques
  • Maintain authoritative documentation, including designs, patterns, and knowledge bases, to support efficient incident and problem management

Requirements:

  • Significant hands-on experience in the implementation and support of enterprise Office 365 products in a large environment (11,000+ accounts)
  • Deep technical expertise in Exchange Messaging, Microsoft Teams, and the development of PowerShell scripts for automation and management
  • High-level analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improved services and business-focused solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence technical decisions and consult with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure to meet agreed service standards within an ITIL framework
