Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior of Quality Assurance to join a long-term contract opportunity supporting investment technology operations in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role will play a key part in strengthening test coverage across business-critical applications, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, financial logic, and end-to-end system reliability. The position is ideal for a senior QA specialist who thrives in complex environments and can partner closely with technical and business teams to improve testing rigor and reduce operational risk.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute detailed manual testing across internal platforms, including functional, regression, integration, and full workflow validation activities
  • Verify data integrity across systems by reviewing business rules, financial calculations, and data movement from source to downstream applications
  • Assess the quality of REST APIs, web-based applications, and background services to confirm expected behavior and dependable performance
  • Test connections with external investment and market data platforms to ensure accurate processing and system interoperability
  • Document defects thoroughly, monitor issue status, and work with delivery teams to support timely resolution and retesting
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and investment-focused stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risk areas, and improve test effectiveness
  • Contribute to rebuilding a dedicated quality assurance practice by promoting consistent testing methods and stronger quality standards
  • Support validation efforts for financial and operational reporting outputs to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance expectations

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of quality assurance experience in a senior-level capacity with deep hands-on manual testing expertise
  • Strong background in data validation, including reviewing end-to-end data flows across multiple applications and platforms
  • Experience working with SQL Server and familiarity with Snowflake for data analysis and test validation
  • Proven ability to test APIs, web applications, and service-based processes in enterprise environments
  • Comfortable operating within Agile or Scrum delivery models, including short sprint cycles and daily team collaboration
  • Prior exposure to investment technology or financial systems, with the ability to understand how data moves through interconnected platforms
  • Ability to evaluate financial logic, reporting outputs, and process accuracy in environments with elevated operational or compliance expectations

Nice to have

Exposure to test automation, unit testing practices, or regulatory-focused testing is a plus
