Senior Nutritionist

• Initiate and lead research projects aligned to Nestlé Purina's strategic areas related to pet health through nutrition
• Function as a project team leader including providing project leadership and completing required documentation in a timely manner
• Serve as a team member on assigned projects to provide nutritional and scientific support
• Formulate research hypotheses, design experimental plans, and execute scientific studies
• Effectively communicate results through oral presentations and written technical reports
• Conduct all activities in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and all required Company Policies & Procedures
• Leverage veterinary and consumer insights to drive innovation that promotes health and wellness of dogs and cats
• Stay current in nutrition literature and intellectual property and propose new research approaches, methodologies, and technologies that may be applicable to Purina
• Publish research in peer-reviewed journals, present at key industry conferences, and participate in Purina-sponsored symposia to introduce innovations

PhD in nutrition or related field

• Experience designing, managing, and publishing clinical research in animal nutrition is preferred
• Diet formulation experience is preferred
• Technical/functional knowledge in the area of metabolism or gastrointestinal physiology is preferred
