Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for the performance of the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsible for the provision of quality patient care, including the timely throughput of patients and the performance of their exams. Operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment including, gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanner, including injection of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition and reformatting. The incumbent is responsible for performing necessary scans and procedures to aid in scanner qualification for research trials. Creates and programs study specific protocols including administration, imaging and reformatting under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Medical Director. Requirements include working On-Call and working.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Proficient computer skills
Must work on-call and rotational shifts as needed
Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT
Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Current and active CRT, CTNM, ARRT® and ARRT(N) or NMTCB
or current and active CTNM, ARRT(CT) and ARRT(N) or NMTCB
Current BLS certification
Ability to train, monitor and maintain compliance in the department
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Nice to have:
Scientific/Clinical Research experience
SPECT/CT experience
Multi-lingual skills to facilitate effective patient communication
Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Diagnostic CT with injection of CT contrast media experience
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related field
