Our client is a leading regional insurance provider operating across the Middle East, offering a comprehensive range of insurance solutions to corporate, SME, and individual clients. They are seeking a Senior Non-Motor Claims Manager to be based in Dubai, UAE, responsible for leading and managing complex claims operations across multiple non-motor lines. This role is critical in ensuring technical excellence, governance, and cost control across the claims function. Success will be defined by the ability to manage high-value claims, lead a high-performing team, and deliver strong financial and operational outcomes. This is a senior, technical leadership role with full ownership of non-motor claims across Property, Engineering & Construction, Marine, Liability, and Financial Lines. The role requires deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder management, with responsibility for both local operations and regional alignment. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving claims performance, strengthening governance, and driving consistent service standards across the organization.
Job Responsibility
Lead and manage the Non-Motor Claims team, driving performance, technical capability, and governance standards
Oversee end-to-end claims management across multiple lines including Property, Engineering, Marine, and Liability
Exercise final decision-making authority on complex and high-value claims, ensuring sound judgment and compliance
Provide technical oversight and guidance to regional teams to ensure consistency and quality
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, legal firms, loss adjusters, and external providers
Collaborate with underwriting, finance, legal, and reinsurance teams to improve portfolio performance
Drive recovery strategies including subrogation and salvage to optimize claims cost management
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, audit requirements, and internal governance policies
Oversee reserving practices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with actuarial standards
Monitor claims processes, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvements
Support the team in handling complex claims through technical guidance and escalation management
Drive service excellence through effective communication with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Insurance, or a related field
Minimum 15 years of experience in non-motor claims across Property, Casualty, Engineering, Marine, and Liability lines
Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulatory frameworks, and claims handling processes
Proven ability to manage complex and high-value claims with strong technical judgment
Strong negotiation skills, particularly in settlements involving legal stakeholders
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Professional certifications such as ACII are advantageous
Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel and Power BI, is preferred
