Job Description:

Join us as a Senior NFT Test Engineer at Barclays where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions. To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards
  • Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested
  • Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth

Requirements:

  • Core Banking Domain Knowledge
  • Understanding of banking workflows, payment processing, and financial transaction lifecycles
  • Performance Testing Expertise
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)
  • Load, stress, and volume testing methodologies
  • Performance monitoring and bottleneck identification techniques
  • Technical Stack Proficiency
  • Java/Spring Boot application testing
  • Database testing (SQL optimization, transaction integrity)
  • API testing and microservices architecture understanding
  • Message queue testing (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Test Automation & Analysis
  • Test script development and automation frameworks
  • Root cause analysis and detailed reporting capabilities
  • CI/CD pipeline integration for continuous testing
  • Defect tracking and test management tools

  • Test Automation and Delivery: Provide hands-on support to test automation activities where required, including contributing to or extending existing automation frameworks and automating non-functional and cross-system test scenarios where appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with test automation engineers and architects to ensure Automation supports NFT and end-to-end quality objectives and Tooling and frameworks are fit-for-purpose for Aladdin-centric testing
  • Advocate for intelligent use of automation to accelerate regression coverage, data setup, and repeatable testing without over-engineering
  • Support CI/CD-aligned quality practices that integrate functional, non-functional, and automated testing outputs
