Job Description

Senior Network Security Engineer, IT Cybersecurity Team. We’re seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and security of 1X’s network infrastructure across corporate, cloud, and co-located environments. You’ll ensure scalable, high-performance connectivity while upholding best practices in network security and collaborating across teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Architect, design, and implement secure and optimized network solutions for corporate offices, cloud infrastructure, and data centers
  • Manage and execute site builds, including secure office network deployments
  • Configure, secure, and manage wireless networks following security best practices
  • Troubleshoot wired, wireless, and service provider connectivity issues to maximize performance and uptime
  • Continuously optimize network performance, scalability, reliability, and security
  • Collaborate with IT, business, and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver resilient networking solutions
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and policies
  • Travel occasionally, both locally and domestically, to support site deployments or audits

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in network & security field
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and the OSI model
  • Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting leaf-and-spine architectures
  • Expertise in modern network architecture with EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF
  • Expertise in DNS and DHCP design, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Deep understanding of Wi-Fi design, including RF planning and optimization
  • Proficient with deploying observability tools (F.ex. Grafana, NetFlow, SNMP, Syslog, telemetry)

Nice to have

  • Experience managing HPE Aruba CX switches, APs, and Aruba Central
  • Palo Alto firewalls (Policies, Panorama, NAT, VPNs, BGP, QoS, App-ID/User-ID)
  • Experience with 802.1x certificate-based onboarding for Wi-Fi and EAP-TLS
  • Familiarity with PKI, certificate lifecycle, RADIUS, TACACS+ and device enrollment
  • Familiarity with modern security stack components such as cloud security (Wiz)
  • Knowledge of network automation tools and practices
