Job Responsibility:
Undertake specialist and technical tasks on the drinking water reticulation network
Provide on-site crew leadership and practical guidance
Maintain and service the network
Operate pump stations and reservoirs
Perform backflow testing
Flush mains
Carry out water sampling
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Support team members through on-job training, skills development, and competency coaching
Foster a positive safety culture
Deliver excellent customer service
Requirements:
Level 4 Water Reticulation qualification
Minimum of five years’ experience in the water or a related industry
Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have:
Certifications such as confined spaces, breathing apparatus, STMS, and welding experience
Staff who speak te reo Maori, have an appreciation of Maori values, and a working knowledge of tikanga Maori
