We are looking for a REMOTE Senior Network Engineer to support a short-term Contract engagement focused on building and implementing network automation for Aruba Fabric Composer. This assignment centers on creating a scalable Ansible-based framework that streamlines device provisioning and improves consistency across network deployments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Aruba environments and enterprise network automation, along with the ability to work closely with infrastructure teams to deliver a well-documented solution within an approximately two-week timeframe.
Job Responsibility:
Build and implement Ansible-driven automation workflows to support provisioning across Aruba network environments
Configure and refine automation processes that accelerate onboarding and setup within Aruba Fabric Composer
Create reusable playbooks, templates, and inventory structures for routers, core switches, access switches, and wireless access points
Apply network configuration standards and operational best practices to ensure reliable and consistent deployments
Perform validation of device connectivity, provisioning outcomes, and overall configuration accuracy throughout the implementation
Investigate and resolve issues related to automation execution, network integration, and device configuration behavior
Produce clear technical documentation covering workflow design, deployment steps, testing results, and knowledge transfer materials
Partner with network engineering and infrastructure stakeholders to support implementation activities and operational handoff
Requirements:
Demonstrated hands-on expertise developing and managing automation with Ansible in enterprise environments
Strong experience working with Aruba networking solutions, including Aruba Fabric Composer
Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking principles and how they apply to infrastructure design and deployment
Proven ability to automate provisioning for switching, routing, and wireless network components
Experience building maintainable playbooks, templates, and inventories for repeatable infrastructure automation
Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills for resolving network and automation issues
Background supporting enterprise-scale network environments with a focus on reliability and operational consistency
Nice to have:
Familiarity with technologies such as Cisco routers, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, BGP, Cisco networking, Aruba, and version-controlled automation practices is a plus
