Job Description:

Our datacenter infrastructure and network team looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help scale and maintain our global network infrastructure spanning the US, Europe, and APAC regions. We have 20+ PoPs with 300+ network devices, own AS, many challenging and creative tasks to do.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operating and maintaining the company's network infrastructure across multiple geographies
  • Coordinating with Tier-1/Tier-2 ISPs, colocation providers, market data providers, and partner contractors to resolve network incidents, perform maintenance, deployment, and upgrades
  • Collaborating with remote hands, on-site staff, and field engineers during both planned and emergency works - including writing step-by-step instructions and coordinating actions in real-time
  • Developing and expanding the company’s own backbone and out-of-band management networks
  • Monitoring the state and performance of the network, maintaining tools for network visualization and backups
  • Deploying and maintaining systems for network resource management, such as IPAM, DCIM, CMDB, and internal knowledge bases (Wiki\Confluence)
  • Deploying and managing NetBox for infrastructure documentation and IP address management
  • Maintaining up-to-date network documentation, creating network diagrams, and writing technical solution descriptions
  • Driving network automation, integrating DevOps practices into day-to-day operations, and reducing the volume of manual tasks in network and infrastructure management workflows

Requirements:

  • Experience operating multi-vendor IP networks (with a focus on Juniper, and additionally beneficial: Cisco, Mikrotik, Arista, Huawei, etc.) in ISP-level or large enterprise environments
  • Solid understanding of Internet network operations, including inter-provider peering, transit, and routing policies
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols (OSI layers 2-4), and hands-on experience configuring: OSPF, BGP
  • L2/L3VPN
  • IPSec tunneling
  • Experience in implementing and operating both hardware and software firewalls, including developing and configuring security policies
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems in the context of networking and infrastructure tools is a plus
  • Intermediate English level
  • ability to communicate in technical contexts with international partners and vendors is desirable
