Job Description:

Our client is an international technology company based in Belgium, operating within a highly innovative industrial environment and benefiting from a strong global presence. They are currently looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join their EMEA IT team and take ownership of their Cisco enterprise network environment. This is a key role within the regional IT structure, with a direct impact on the performance, stability, and security of the company’s network infrastructure across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the IT Director EMEA, you will work closely with local IT teams as well as international colleagues across the US, UK, and China. This is a hands-on senior-level position, ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with autonomy, proactivity, and a pragmatic approach. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on both strategic network projects and day-to-day operational troubleshooting when required.

Job Responsibility:

Design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN infrastructures across a multi-site environment
Implement and maintain network segmentation and NAC solutions (802.1X) to strengthen access control and overall network security
Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco firewalls, switching, routing, and wireless platforms
Monitor network availability, capacity, and performance, and lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents
Contribute to the continuous improvement of network architecture, resiliency, security posture, and operational standards

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience supporting and developing enterprise-scale network environments
CCNP-level certification required, ideally with a focus on network security
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching in production environments
Proven experience with NAC / 802.1X, wireless networking, and segmented network architectures in an international environment
Fluent English is essential

Nice to have:

Experience with Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
Dutch / Flemish language skills
