Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team in Auburn, Washington. This role involves managing and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure reliable performance, robust security, and seamless connectivity across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and a proactive attitude to enhance the efficiency of our systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure
  • Configure and manage Cisco routers, firewalls, and switches to ensure secure and efficient operations
  • Monitor network performance and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize functionality
  • Implement and manage security protocols using tools such as Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ASA
  • Administer and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations to ensure seamless network routing
  • Collaborate with team members to assess and integrate new technologies into the network
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes
  • Conduct regular audits of network systems to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures
  • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex networking issues
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve network solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in working with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Cisco ASA devices
  • Strong knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and routing protocols
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate and maintain records
