Job Description

Reporting directly to the CTO, the successful candidate will play a crucial role within the business; accountable for the design, architecture and support of fibre technology. Joining the start of a modern, very fast paced and exciting business, you will also identify and advise solutions for performance issues and technical problems.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the business in terms of providing technical input into key infrastructure projects
  • Analyse and solve network incident issues
  • Be on call/ the main point of contact to provide specialist support
  • Provide network change support and key impact analysis
  • Manage the network Fibre Capacity & Performance across the Fibre network
  • Ensure Backhaul Fibre Capacity tracks network rollout capacity needs
  • Liaise with GPON/XGS PON vendor to keep track of all upgrade requirements
  • Design, preparation and configuration of green field network equipment
  • Staging and testing of networking equipment to fulfil design requirements

Requirements

  • 5 + years experience in a senior engineering and/or network support role with evidence of supplier control and management
  • Practical knowledge of network technologies, security and architectures within a large ISP or Carrier environment
  • Cisco CCNP/Juniper JNCIP or equivalent recognised accreditations
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to talk at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role
