We are looking for a Senior National Account Manager in our London-based International team. At PROPER SNACKS, International is at the forefront of driving our growth, igniting a snacking revolution and ensuring our brands reach snack aisles well beyond the UK. This role is a great opportunity to be part of an ambitious team making bold moves in new markets. As the Senior International Account Manager, you will be based out of our London office and will be responsible for managing and growing sales in International markets. Using the power of a distributor model, you will need to ensure they are aligned with our brand values, activities and business objectives. Your role will involve a mix of strategic planning, utilizing data, relationship building, and hands-on execution to maximise sales opportunities and go after our ambitious global vision for the brands.
Job Responsibility:
Distributor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributors to drive growth. You will be the key point of contact for our distributors' brand management teams
Team management: line manager of 1 commercial manager. Together you will be responsible for all markets excluding Benelux
Market Strategy: Support the International Director to create & influence our distributors to implement effective sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of each market, focusing on both brands, Eat Real and PROPER
Performance Analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyse available category data and market trends, to provide regular reports to drive strategic recommendations
Distributor Support: Provide training, support, and resources to distributors to ensure they are well-equipped to represent our brands effectively
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territories to expand our market presence
Brand and marketing partnership: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with brand campaigns and promotional activities
Budget Management: Ensure close monitoring of trade spend agreements with our distributor partners & where possible influence to drive better spend efficiency & growth. Ensure that we have clear annual spend agreements with distributors aligned to our internal budget processes
Market awareness: travel to Ireland and other markets where needed, to meet with distributors, conduct market visits, and attend trade shows or industry events
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and in particular marketing, finance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and optimal product availability
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years' experience working in a fast-paced FMCG environment (in UK or international sales roles)
Experience managing and driving growth in large customers, ability to demonstrate end-customer impact is essential
Experience managing distributors is preferable
Experience working in Irish or other EU markets is a plus but not mandatory
Highly numerate, comfortable interpreting complex data sets and working in Excel
Brilliant communicator & storyteller, influencing is a super-power
Demonstrable commercial acumen with proven experience in P&L ownership
Ability to travel internationally (approx. once per month)
Nice to have:
Experience working in Irish or other EU markets is a plus but not mandatory
