Are you a passionate Senior Storage Engineer ready to bring your expertise to challenging and diverse projects? We are looking for an experienced Storage Engineer with extensive NAS expertise.You will be part of the storage team within the Global Operations Division in the company. Your mission will be to deliver and support enterprise storage solutions that provide stable services to meet customers’ needs. In this manner, you will collaborate with multiple teams in order to identify the best technical solution for the customer, thus ensuring and obtaining the desired result. As a member of the storage team, you will be involved in all aspects of managing and setting up storage environments. Besides managing different storage infrastructures and technologies, you will also handle performance analysis and troubleshooting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Building the organization's cloud storage environments and dedicated customer environments
  • Together with other senior engineers you decide on the standards and best practices for the environments
  • Create and maintain technical procedures, manuals and processes
  • Participate in standby availability schedules (rotation about every 8 weeks) and planned maintenance windows
  • You have an interest in automation and you would like to participate in automation related tasks

Requirements:

  • 6+ years' experience in a similar position
  • Experience with Netapp NAS storage technology
  • Extensive experience with NAS storage technologies and their concepts (LDAP, NFS, CIFS and multi-protocol(s))
  • Experience with bash scripting and are able to create / modify scripts on your own
  • Good knowledge of networking protocols (TCP-IP)
  • Good knowledge of MS Windows client and server operating systems (NTFS and Active Directory concepts)
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • Willing to travel (yearly trip to Belgium) for training or workshops

Nice to have:

Knowledge on one or more SAN storage technologies is considered as a plus
