Job Description:

The Senior MySQL DBA role requires a seasoned professional with 10-12 years of experience in database management. The candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining database servers, ensuring high performance and security. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with a solid foundation in ITIL and service improvement practices.

Requirements:

  • 10-12 Years of experience in managing databases
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Database performance tuning
  • Planning, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting of high-availability database environments (Always-On, Clustering, Mirroring, Replication, RAC, Datagaurd, etc.)
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes, for efficiency and cost optimization
  • Work directly with end customer, business stakeholders as well as technical resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive the team
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
  • Strong ITIL foundation, Continual Service Improvement and Total Quality Management experiences
