Job Responsibility:

  • Own and improve MySQL database environments to ensure performance, scalability and reliability
  • Review and approve database-related application changes before release
  • Identify and resolve performance issues end to end, from triage to production validation
  • Optimize queries and refactor schemas to support data growth
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Data Science and Reliability teams
  • Contribute to incident management and reliability goals
  • Maintain documentation, security standards and database best practices

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with MySQL in high-traffic, mission-critical systems
  • Deep knowledge of backup, recovery and replication
  • Proven SQL optimization skills and experience with high-load systems
  • Experience with schema design and performance tuning
  • Good Linux administration skills
  • B2 level of English, both written and spoken
